The American Distilling Institute held their Craft Spirits Awards recently and we’re super proud of our results.
Mezcal Don Amado Ensamble Tobalá & Bicuishe championed an Artisanal Mezcal: Best of Category Award and a Double Gold Medal. Made from a blend of Tobalá and Bicuishe maguey grown at 4,800′ in the town of San Pablo Apostol, Oaxaca, this mezcal is described as tasting of Earl Grey tea, dried orange peel, candied mango, cinnamon, a faint woodiness, with a jammy finish and a lingering hint of black licorice. Don Amado’s other Ensamble expression, the Tripón, Barríl & Bicuishe, also garnered a Gold Medal.
Tequila ArteNOM Selección de 1579 (Blanco) also received a Silver Medal, while Selección de 1414 (Resposado) enjoyed a Bronze Medal. Tequila Fuenteseca Cosecha Blanco 2018 was awarded a Bronze Medal as a Certified Craft Distilled Spirit, rounding out an impressive array of honors.
