Ulises Torrentera, renowned expert on mezcal, recently led a panel of 30 judges in a tasting of 200 different mezcals from across Oaxaca for CAVA Magazine. Narrowing the field to their elite 33 choices, the judges awarded Mezcal Don Amado’s flagship Rústico expression with inclusion in its prestigious “Los 33 Mezcales Mejor Puntuados del 2022” list of Mexico’s 33 best-scoring mezcals.
